What is RSS?

Have you been seeing orange RSS or XML buttons more and more, not knowing what they were?

It's "the next big thing" -- you can use it to get news feeds from CNN or BBC, as well as just about anything else, including news on upcoming movies, DVD releases, your favorite band's tour updates, etc.

Once you get started, it's like having your favorite parts of the web come to you. No need to go out and check for updates all the time on favorite sites. You'll be saying to yourself, "No more bookmarks for me!"

RSS means Really Simple Syndication. But that's just a fancy way of saying that you can keep up with all the updates to the Inline Skating Center without having to check our site every week to see what's new. Whenever we put up a new page, update an existing page, or add a new produce or service to the site, we announce it through our RSS News Feed. And...

In addition, we can share the changes with you from time to time through RSS. This gives you the inside scoop without you having to spend hours on the site. Yes, RSS is amazing. If you can't tell, we're completely addicted to it. No e-mail. No spam. It's so easy to subscribe and unsubscribe. That's why we like to refer to RSS as Real Simple Subscription instead. If you happen to get tired of us, you just have to delete the feed. It's awesome!

And after you started, you'll soon be tracking all your other favorite interests and news in the world. How do you get started?

Getting Started with RSS

First, you need to download a free RSS Reader. This is special software that reads our RSS feed and displays a title, description, and link for each new item we add to our RSS file on the server. You just have to click on the link to view the complete story at the Inline Skating Center.
