Rollerblading Trails -- Trail Guides

"A one stop online shop for all of your inline skating needs."

Welcome to our Trail Guides page! The Center offers trail guides for the top, rollerblading trails located throughout Ontario. Our trail guides are designed to help the recreational skater in four ways.

First, the skater can select a trail that's suited to his or her ability based on overall and degree of difficulty rankings contained in each guide. Second, the guide will get you to the starting point of the trail without any hassles! Next, it provides facts, directions, and guideposts so you never get lost on the trail. Finally, each guide points you to a local restaurant where you can go for an after the roll dinner.

Get a Trail Guide

Each guide contains directions for getting to the starting point of the trail, details about the trail including length, width, bridges, underpasses, and street sections, as well as landmarks along the way, which can be used as guideposts.

In addition, each guide has an overall ranking, and a degree of difficulty ranking. The rationale behind the rankings is also provided. What exactly is trail skating?

Rollerblading Trails

Skating on trails is all about rolling on marked, paved pathways that can be found inside parks, on waterfronts, and even in preserves or sanctuaries. Sometimes, the skater needs to do some street skating to get from one part of the trail to the next because not all trails are continuous.

Rollerblading trails are best-suited for skaters who like to roll in safe, friendly, environments, which are free of crowds, noise, and traffic. Blading on trails:

  • Provides a great work-out

  • Burns about 550 calories/hour for a 160-lb skater rolling at 10 mph

  • Strengthens your upper leg, hip, glutei, and back muscles

  • Improves your aerobic strength and endurance

  • Lets you have fun and meet new people
