Inline Skating
Jenny Jen Goldstein is setting skating trends again. Now in addition to her collection of learn-to-skate songs, she has a new animated musical safety video for skaters, BMX bikers or skateboarders. The "Glide Slide, Save Ya Hide" music video is a sing along teaching activity and a great way for kids and the young-at-heart to see and remember safety tips. This is the first music video in the Skatewoman series, but probably not the last. Look for the comic book series to come out soon, too.

NROC Begins As Olympic Speed Ends
The final day for speedskating in the Vancouver Winter Olympics is Saturday, February 27th - the day 2010 National Roller Cup Schedule of events begins with the Race on the Base in Los Alamitos, California.
This season offers a new Class A race category featuring smaller races, scattered all over the country to make it easier for skaters to collect points close to home. Mega races (there are two) will count as two events and earn double points; Major races (there are eight) will count as single events and earn standard points; and Class A races (eight, again) will count as half events and earn half points.
Registration is open for skaters right now.
